The Value of a Pre-Game Conference

For most lacrosse officials, you arrive at the field twenty minutes before the game.  It is imperative that you and your crew get on the same page quickly. A  well officiated lacrosse game is managed by a team of officials, not two or three individuals doing their own thing.  The two things that hold a crew together are solid mechanics and communication.  I am a sheet guy.  I hand out a printed pre-game to my crew that covers everything I want to review.

Now is the Time: Pre-Season Preparation

New Youth Officials Training Class January 19

ALO is pleased to announce training dates for the Spring 2014 season.   We will host a Training Class for new officials on January 19 at the at the Decatur Recreation Center located at 231 Sycamore Street, Decatur, GA 30030.  The class will run from  9:30 am to 3:30 pm. The class is one of a number of steps required to become a certified US Lacrosse official.  You can view the requirements for becoming an official at the end of this post.
