ALO, in partnership with the Gwinnett Lacrosse League (GLL), the Georgia Lacrosse Foundation (GLF) and the Georgia Lacrosse Officials Association (GLOA) is holding a boys youth lacrosse officials certification clinic on January 28, 2017 (10 am to 4 pm) at Notre Dame Academy in Duluth, Georgia. The mandatory field training is tentatively scheduled for February 18 (location will be finalized soon; these are 2 hour slots).
Both the East Cobb and Old Atlanta Youth Referee Classes are FULL.

In an effort to minimize the risk of injury, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Boys Lacrosse Rules Committee recommended six rules changes, including only allowing the goalkeeper to be located in the crease. All 2017 boys lacrosse rules changes recommended by the committee at its July 18-20 meeting in Indianapolis were subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors. Continue reading →
