ALO is pleased to announce our first training for the Spring 2015 Season. The class will be held February 8 at the the Decatur Recreation Center located at 231 Sycamore Street, Decatur, GA 30030. The class will run from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. Please plan to arrive at least ten minutes early in order to check in and get settled.
Space is limited. To register for the class, please fill out the online registration form.
Cost of the New Officials Training is $40. Participants must be at least 14 years of age and US Lacrosse members.
Students will receive a a copy of the 2015 Rules Book, the 2015 Training Guide, a pre-game sheet, Fox 40 finger whistle, penalty flag and a US Lacrosse Officials patch upon completion of all requirements.
There will be a short break for lunch and there are numerous options within walking distance of the center.
To become a certified US lacrosse Official you must complete ALL five (5) of these requirements.
|1. Be a registered member of US Lacrosse. You may not use your parents membership.|
|2. Complete the Online US Lacrosse Men’s Officiating Webinar Note: print out certificate of completion and bring to class.|
|3. Attend the In-Person Class with ALO on February 8 at the Decatur Rec Center.|
|4. Pass the both the NFHS Rules Test and US Lacrosse Youth Test online. For more information on the tests, please review this guide.|
|5. Work a Field Training with ALO. There will be opportunities throughout the Spring.Note: no one will be allowed to take the field training without having completed ALL of the previous steps.|
Once all requirements have been completed, students will receive a US lacrosse Certification patch, penalty flag and a whistle.
